OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2011. Net income of Vanino Commercial Sea Port (Vanino Port, Khabarovsk Region) for the first quarter of 2011 increased by nearly 1.6 times from a year earlier, to 53,072 million rubles, the company’s press service said.

Three-month cargo volume handled by Vanino Port has reportedly dropped 5.9% from Q1, 2010, to 1,382,700 tons.

JSC Vanino Commercial Sea Port (Port Vanino) is the major operator of Port of Vanino (Khabarovsk Territory). The port is a gateway for trade flows between Russia and Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of Asia Pacific Region. Vanino also handles imports shipped to the northern regions of Russia. In 2010, cargo throughput of Port Vanino Port rose to about 6 million tons (+0.2% yoy).
