OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. The third session of the Azerbaijan-UAE Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission has opened in Baku today.

At the meeting economic development minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan has said that the two countries have great opportunities for development of collaboration and bilateral trade turnover increased by 36.8% in 2010 and by 9.9% in the first quarter of 2011.

“The protocol to be signed following the session aims mainly the issues of double taxation removal,” Mustafayev said.

UAE economy minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said that currently his country was considering in fields for capital investments in Azerbaijan.

“The sector of tourism is the priority among them,” he said.
