OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2011. The flight Kiev-Novosibirsk-Kiev was officially opened by the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) jointly with Ukrainian aircompany AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines at the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo).

 At 07:15 local time Boeing 737 of the aircompany AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines, operating the flight on the route Kiev-Novosibirsk, landed at the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo). The flight was operated for the first time after two years when in 2008 the Russian airline “Dalavia” had stopped operating this flight. Traditionally the first aircraft of a new flight was met with “water arch”.

 General director of JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” Alexander Borodin congratulated passengers with the flight’s opening.

 According historical epoch the Ukraine and Russia aren’t divided and the reopening of direct air communication between Kiev and Novosibirsk will permit to draw together our countries. Gladly, this route will be served by the greatest air carrier of the Ukraine AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines.

 Flights’ payload in the start period according to the airline’s assessment will make up 50-60 % and in summer months will exceed 70% including the increase of transit passengers’ flows. The results of air tickets reservation and selling confirm sizable demand for the flights to Novosibirsk via Kiev from regional centers of the Ukraine and from all points of the airline’s route net in Europe and North America. On the 28th of April aircraft loading made up 84%.

 - Thanks to the fact that Novosibirsk direction is successfully integrated into the global route net of AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines, passengers can fly not only to the Ukraine’s capital but also to many other cities of Europe, the North America and the Middle East, - announced the executive director of the aircompany AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines Oleg Berejnoy.

 The significance of this flight opening was noticed by deputy chairman of the committee on external economic links and tourism in Novosibirsk region Peter Nechaev:

 -  This route is of interest for business and tourists. Therefore marketing and economic policy of the airport Tolmachevo and the aircompany AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines must be directed to the achievement of mutually beneficial relationships between Russian and Ukrainian regions.

 In honor of this route recommencement, a cake was made with the symbolic picture of new flight geography Kiev – Novosibirsk.

 Aircompany AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines will operate the flights Kiev- Novosibirsk- Kiev since April with the increase of flights frequency from 2 to 5 times a week. The increase of flights number is planned since the 31st of May. The flights on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday will be added to the initial flights on Thursday and Sunday.
