OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2011. Tata Power, India’s largest integrated private power utility, in continuance of its efforts towards the wellbeing of the local communities around which the company undertakes its business, will be organising a 'blood donation camp' at their Jojobera plant, Jamshedpur, on May 4, 2011.

The camp was organised in association with the Jamshedpur blood bank’s medical and support staff. Tata Power employees volunteered and worked in conjunction with the medical teams to make the blood donation camp a major success.

Speaking on the occasion, PL Manjrekar, general manager, Jojobera plant, Tata Power, said, “The blood donor is doing a yeoman's service to mankind. We would continue to work closely with the Jamshedpur blood bank in all its activities.”

The blood donation camp is a bi-annual activity at the Jojobera plant and this year the camp witnessed huge participation and collected 69 units of blood. A large number of Tata Power employees, their family members and stakeholders also participated and extended their support to this noble cause.
