OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2011. The visit’s program was discussed during the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Moldova Valerii Lazar with Sweden’s Ambassador to Moldova Ingrid Tersman.

It was said that the mission will comprise Swedish companies, interested in developing cooperation with Moldovan colleagues in different sectors of economy. Ingrid Tersman asked for the information regarding implementation of economic reforms in Moldova, influencing business, regarding problems of purchases and privatization. Valerii Lazar said nine technical and economic assessments for establishing industrial parks in Moldova had been developed and are to be presented to Swedish companies.

He stressed the Moldovan party’s readiness to submit concrete projects unlike previous years when business forms represented general discussions regarding advantages of investment in Moldova. The parties also discussed the possibility of supporting Moldova’s institutional potential for attracting foreign investment, especially, in terms of reforming the Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO). “Conceptually, the MIEPO will be a “single window” for foreign investors, willing to come to Moldova, which will present the whole necessary information and consultations to them and will provide necessary contacts”, said Valerii Lazar.
