OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2011. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was one an official visit to Romania, received Koen Minne, CEO of the well-known Belgian company ENEX process engineering SA. The meeting took place in the Turkmen leader’s residence in Bucharest, Villa Lak-2.

 Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the businessman congratulated the Turkmen leader on the success of the Turkmen-Romanian top-level talks that illustrated the intense willingness of Romania as well as European Union states to develop long-term partnerships with Turkmenistan. In this context Mr. Koen Minne focused on the intention of the business circles in Europe, in particular Belgium and his company, to intensify mutually advantageous contacts with the Turkmen side.

 Thanking for the kind words, the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that pursuing the policy of constructive international cooperation, Turkmenistan attached considerable importance to enhancing and expanding contacts with EU states and leading European companies, with many of which, including ENEX, the rich experience of fruitful collaboration had been accumulated.

 The President of Turkmenistan and the CEO of ENEX process engineering SA considered the key issues of bilateral partnerships and the possibilities to further cooperation in a number of promising fields, including the fuel and energy, processing, chemical and telecommunication sectors. Collaboration on application of environmentally friendly energy efficient technologies and use of alternative energy sources given natural and climatic conditions of our country was deemed to be promising.

 In conclusion Mr. Koen Minne said that the ENEX Company, which was proud of cooperation with Turkmenistan and the credence given to Belgian specialists, would take further efforts to meet its commitments.
