OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2011. JSC NC “KazMunayGas” (KMG) reports on the preliminary results of the financial and economic activities for 1Q 2011.

According to the most recent data, the consolidated uplift of oil and gas-condensate during the reporting period has amounted to 5.4 mn tons, 2 percent higher as compared to 2010 year-on-year.

The volume of oil transportation along main pipelines was 16.4 mn tons. The volume of marine oil transportation has amounted to 2 mn tons, increasing by 11 percent. The oil cargo turnover along main pipelines was 10.8 ton-kilometers, 9 percent higher than in 2010 year-on-year.

Over 25.5 bcm of gas have been flown during the reporting period, which is 1 percent higher, as compared to 1Q 2010.

KMG NC group of companies (incl. The Rompetrol Group) refined 3.6 mn tons of oil during January-March, 2011.

According to the preliminary, unaudited data, KMG NC’s consolidated income for the 1st quarter of 2011 has amounted to 621 bn tenges, which is 18 percent higher than the 2010 indicator.

The consolidated profit was 118 bn tenges, which is 78 percent bigger than in the same reporting period of 2010.

Over 111 bn tenges were paid to the country’s budget in taxes and other mandatory payments, exceeding the 2010 level by 9 percent.

As of 1 April this year the total amount of purchases in the KazMunayGas group of companies was 951 bn tenges, the Kazakhstan content - 38%, or 362.5 bn tenges.

Among other things, of the total amount of purchased goods for the amount of 587 bn tenges, the share of the Kazakhstan suppliers was 171 bn tenges, or 29% Kazakhstan content.

The total volume of work agreements made amounted to 121 bn tenges, the Kazakhstani content being 67% or 81.5 bn tenges.

A total of 243.6 bn tenges was spent on services, which includes 110.4 bn tenges for services from the domestic suppliers, the Kazakhstan content in the service purchases amounted to 45 percent.
