OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 4.5% on the month in April, compared with 1.9% in March, 2.7% in February and 1.4% in January 2011, an official in the National Statistics Committee stated.

Prices increased 10.9% in January-April 2011.

Food prices rose 4.9% in April 2011 and 11.3% in January-April, non-food prices went up 5.6% and 9.4%, and consumer services prices increased 1.8% and 11.8%.

In 2010, inflation accelerated 9.9%. The forecast for 2011 stands at 7.5%-8.5%.
