OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. Fujitsu today announced the release of the Si-R 6200, a gigabit access router that delivers 650 Mbps in VPN(1) throughput, in Japan. It is the latest model in Fujitsu's Si-R series of IP access routers for building corporate network systems.

The Si-R G200 delivers VPN throughput of 650 Mbps, placing it at the top of the range in performance among products in the same price range in the industry. As it can accommodate high-speed WAN(2) services in excess of 100 Mbps, such as FLET'S Hikari Next or au Hikari, it can even be used as a center router, not just as a router for medium-sized branch offices.

Moreover, as it can also accommodate LTE(3) and other high-speed wireless WAN services when a data communication card (sold separately) is used, the router can also be used to quickly set up virtual networks at temporary offices or event venues. It is also ideal for systems that need high-speed back-up lines to connect branch offices.

This product has been designated a "super green product"(4) by Fujitsu because of its environmentally-friendly features.
