ICBC received the "Best Financial Brand Marketing Event Award" for the marketing campaign "ICBC Asian Games Card, The Card to Asian Games" in the "2010 China Financial Marketing Award" program hosted by The Chinese Banker magazine together with many large media, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

This year's award program was sponsored by The Chinese Banker magazine in cooperation with CBN TV, BTV, Sohu.com, Economic Observe and Development Center of Chinese Banker. Each award submission was firstly screened by the judging panel. Winners were finally selected through two stages of screening by the industry veterans. ICBC kicked off a 10-month marketing campaign on the ICBC Asian Games credit cards in March 2010 including five promotion activities in two phases:

1. "Free Gifts for new ICBC Asian Games Card" - free gift for every new applicant.

2. "Win Tickets with ICBC Asian Games Card" - lucky draw to win free Asian Games competition tickets, free hotel accommodation.

3. "Asian Games Gold Class Merchants" – nomination for gold class merchants offering discount to cardholders;

4. "Asian Games Gold Medal Quiz" - SMS competition and

5. "Xianghe Ruyi Leyangyang, ICBC Asian Games Credit Card".

ICBC marketing campaigns were well-planned and packed with new and interesting activities. Being the only banking partner of the 16th Asian Games, ICBC made use of the great opportunity to offer a range of unique services and licensed merchandises and attract many cardholders and merchants to join the campaigns with full spirit. The marketing campaigns have produced very good result.

An ICBC executive said, the Bank will continue to execute the credit card strategy: accurate marketing, exquisite service, refined management" in an effort to launch best-quality credit card products and offer more and top financial services to all the customers.
