OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. A fivefold increase in the number of exhibitors and eightfold increase in exhibition area – these are the achievements of Power Kazakhstan, the country’s main power exhibition, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

More than 100 companies from 10 countries plan to exhibit at the event this year. Power Kazakhstan 2011 will take place in Almaty from 1 to 3 November in pavilions 9a and 9b of Atakent Exhibition Centre.

Since its launch, the size of the Power Kazakhstan exhibition has increased eightfold - from 300mІ in the Ankara hotel (now InterContinental) to 2,400mІ in the modern Atakent Exhibition Centre.

Power Kazakhstan first opened its doors in 2002 and since then its popularity has grown among industry professionals in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. As an international platform for the power industry, the exhibition reflects the dynamic development of the industry, and is an ideal platform for product promotion, business development, market research, and meetings with professionals from different regions of Kazakhstan and other countries.

The exhibition will present new products throughout the industrial chain: electrical equipment, power engineering, lighting, lighting technology, LED technology, renewable energy sources, energy conservation, energy efficiency and resource conservation. The exhibition covers more sectors than any other similar event. Two events will be held alongside Power Kazakhstan 2011: Lighting Kazakhstan 2011, the 1st Kazakhstan International Lighting, Lighting Technology and LED Technologies Exhibition and Conference; and ReEnergy Kazakhstan 2011, the 1st Kazakhstan International Exhibition for Renewable Energy, Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency and Resource Conservation.

The event is supported by Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC); Almaty City Administration; Kazakhstan Electricity Association (KEA); Kazakhstan Union of Engineering Companies; and Kazakhstan Union of Power Engineers.

The importance of the Power Kazakhstan exhibition for the power sector is shown by the companies themselves, most of which are regular exhibitors at the show. Every year the exhibition features international and local power companies; international manufacturers and suppliers of electrical equipment, technology and services; companies providing power station maintenance services; and engineering and consulting companies.

The organisers of Power Kazakhstan - Iteca (Kazakhstan) and ITE Group (UK) - are confident that the event reflects all the trends and areas in the global and domestic power industry. The rapid growth of the exhibition clearly demonstrates the positive achievements in the promotion of Kazakhstan.
