OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers rose 3.7% on the year in January-March 2011 to 1.705 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee stated.

The output of potash fertilizers increased 4% on the year in January-March to 1.443 million tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went up 1.6% to 54,100 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went up 2% to 207,100 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production rose 3.6% to 58,700 tonnes.

Motorcar tire output fell 3.2% to 910,900 units.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 5.2% on the year in January-March 2011 to 2.037 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms.

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 32.9% of the average monthly output, or 462.2 billion rubles.
