OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. Work to replace “umbrellas” now complete at coke screening station No. 3 of the Koks coke department. The “umbrellas” above the roll screens, which disperse the coke into various classes, were replaced. The “umbrella” covers the screens and prevents excessive scattering of dust in the working area of the coke screening station. As a result of their long period of use, the previous “umbrellas” had become unfit for further operation: the metal had become considerably corroded, which could lead to additional dust exhaust.

Once the “umbrellas” are replaced, this problem will be successfully avoided and the working conditions for those operating the coke screening station will improve significantly.
