OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2011. A memorandum concerning the cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy between ROSATOM and Ministry of Federal Planning, Public Investments and Services of Argentina was signed in Moscow on May 24.
 
The document was signed by Director General of ROSATOM Sergey Kirienko and Minister of Federal Planning, Public Investments and Services of the Argentine Republic Julio De Vido.
 
The parties have agreed to continue development of the cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy. The memorandum points out that Argentina will continue studying of the integrated proposal made by ROSATOM concerning future nuclear facilities in the country and their technical parameters. The document also states that ROSATOM has passed pre-qualification as a potential vendor of the fourth Argentina’s NPP.
 
The memorandum was signed in furtherance of agreements reached during the visit of the delegation of the Argentine Republic to Moscow on May 23-24, 2011. The parties agreed on continuation of the negotiations and on interaction in frames of working groups to support promotion of agreed projects.
