OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2011. President Viktor Yanukovych believes that because of the overfulfilment of the state budget profits plan, the level of wages and pensions must be reconsidered in the second half of this year.

"We are certainly willing to revise the budget in the second half of the year. There is overfulfilment of its income plan. Let’s see, if we could in the second half of the year, perhaps, slightly increase the salaries, pensions, see what is going on in the Pension Fund, the problems it faces," he said at a meeting with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

"People are now expecting improvement. I understand well that we have quite a complicated financial situation because of the international debts. But let's see what did the economy give us in the first half of the year, and what can we offer in the second half. In terms of regional development, and completion of the unfinished facilities, roads, social infrastructure, etc.," Viktor Yanukovych said.
