OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2011. The employees of the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” together with the specialists of “Universal Forwarder” successfully completed the operation on handling of imported large-sized equipment with the total weight of 1.1 thousand tons.

203  units of equipment,  including ten 20 meters high semi-modules for the construction of waste-heat boiler for Vologodskaya thermal power plant, were delivered aboard the vessel Ameland to the berth Nr. 5 of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” from Antwerp.

During handling operations 2 double-type cranes with the lifting capacity of 40 tons were used. Large-sized equipment is planned to be transported to Vologda by railway and road transport.
