OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2011. Gazprom Neft for the fifth time now topped the list of St. Petersburg’s twenty largest corporate taxpayers, who made the most significant contributions to the city budget during the year. The top 20 taxpayer list includes companies whose annual taxes are about 900 million rubles and above. The Gazprom Neft Group contributed about 12 billion rubles to St. Petersburg’s budget in 2010. Compared with 2009, the taxes Gazprom Neft paid to the city budget haveincreased by more than 25%.

St. Petersburg is a strategic region for Gazprom Neft. The company is actively developing its business here. The fact that Gazprom Neft is once again recognized as the city’s Best Taxpayer is obvious proof of this. We are effectively involved in implementing the city’s social, cultural and business projects. Today, we are working on the major project of moving the main office to St. Petersburg. This will be completed before the end of 2011. I am confident that the relocation of the corporate headquarters of one of Russia’s largest oil companies [to this city] will give an impetus for future development of St. Petersburg and will have a significant impact on the economy of the North-West region as a whole”, — said Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Neft, Aleksandr Dyukov.
