OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2011. The turnover of UNISTREAM international money transfer system in Armenia in January-April 2011 exceeded 163 mln USD having surpassed the index of the preceding year by 26.8%. The number of transfers as compared with the index of 2010 increased by 11.4% thus reaching 215.3 thousand for the accounting period, reported the press-centre of Unibank.

Owing to the stable growth of indices UNISTREAM system reserves its leading position at the Armenian market both by the number of transfers and the turnover volume. Remittances via Unistream system in Armenia are made in all the branches of Unibank.

In the 1st quarter of 2011 the total turnover of UNISTREAM international money transfer system reached 860 mln USD. The number of transfers for the accounting period increased by 15% having made 1.407.000. The total number of service points of the system including the terminal net exceeded 220.000 in 100 countries worldwide.

The key project for 2011 for Unistream system is promotion of client’s universal card. The availabiloty of such card enhances transfer procedure thus minimizing the service time. In the 1st quarter of 2011 the number of Unistream clients-cardholders exceeded 500.000 in the system as a whole.
