OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2011. National energy operator of Azerbaijan, Azerenerji OJSC, has declared this April’s decline of 29.4% in revenues from sales of electricity in the country versus December 2010.

For Jan-April 2011 the charge for power dropped by 15% against indicator for the entire last year.

The operator informs that this April power consumption was 555.6 million kWh versus 519.7 million kWh in March and 581 million kWh in December 2010. At that, charge for consumed electricity made up 85% against 120.4% of its value in December 2010.

Over Jan-April 2011 overall power consumption amounted to 2.333 bn kWh and charge of its cost made up 79% against consumption of 6.316 bn kWh and payment at the level of 94% in 2010. For the first three months of 2011 power charge from retail consumers was 77%.
