OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Moscow Region (Moscow Regional OFAS Russia) issued five determinations to hold “MOESK” OJSC administratively liable and fined the company in total 104,605,000 Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Moscow Regional OFAS Russia found that “MOESK” OJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The company abused its dominant position on the market of services for technological connection of consumer energy-receiving devices to public mains networks in the Moscow region.

“Holding “MOESK” OJSC administratively liable under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations is a consequence of the company repeatedly engaging in monopolistic activities and carrying out aggressive policy towards citizens on the market of services for technological connection. The antimonopoly body hopes that the imposed administrative sanctions will help prevent new violations by the electric grid company”, said the Head of Moscow Regional OFAS Russia, Mr. Igor Bashlakov – Nikolayev.
