OREANDA-NEWS. June 7, 2011. The representatives of international organizations UBM Aviation and The Routes Development Group studied the possibilities of the airport Tolmachevo to be the place of the aviation forum Routes CIS-2012.

The Director of Future Events of the Routes Development Group Katie Bland and Tourism Development director of UBM Aviation Gerard Brown visited Novosibirsk with the aim to get information about the airport’s Tolmachevo and Novosibirsk city potential for Routes CIS-2012 hosting.

The guests visited the essential facilities of the airport complex Tolmachevo: cargo terminal, domestic and international passenger terminals, the first and second runways, apron and aircraft parkings. They were demonstrated registration areas, customs and border control zones, business hall, comfortable complex for passengers with kids and special GH vehicles. The guests also visited cultural and historical objects of Novosibirsk city.

- We are glad to have possibility to present our aviation enterprise in full volume, - noticed the general director of JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” Alexander Borodin. – Routes have always been exceptionally authoritative forums. Our airport takes active part, since forum’s work gives special stimulus for aviation development, allows to start and consolidate mutually beneficial partnership with other countries, cities and aviation enterprises.

During this meeting the minister of Novosibirsk region transport and road department Mr. Simonov and Novosibirsk mayor first deputy Mr. Ksenzov showed their interest in the large aviation forum.

Summing up the visit Katie Bland expressed the concernment in further cooperation between airport Tolmachevo and forum Routes organizers:

- I realize, that the first-class team, capable of achieving success, works in Tolmachevo. Attainments and prospects of Novosibirsk city and airport’s developments show the readiness to pose the problems and solve them successfully.

 The final decision about the place of Routes CIS-2012 will be made not sooner as in August 2011, after the authorities of The Routes Development group analyze all possible candidates.
