OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. The deficit of the balance of trade of Moldova in January-April 2011 totaled USD 865.9 million, exceeding indicators of the same period last year by USD 211.1 million (32.2%).

The deficit of the balance of trade with the EU states for the first 4 months increased by 26.6 percent – to USD 311.7 million, with the CIS countries – by 35.5%, to USD 294.2 million, according to the National Statistics Office.

The biggest deficit of the balance of trade in January-April this year was with Ukraine – 4133.8 million (+23.6 percent in comparison with the same period last year). it was followed by Russia– USD 130.6 million (+17,2%), China - USD 102 million (+21%), Germany - USD 76.4 million (+38.3%), Turkey - USD 75.7 million (twice), Romania - USD 44.3 million (+45.8%), Italy- USD 28.4 million (+6.1%), Belarus – USD 27.1 million (13.7 times), Hungary – USD 23.5 million (+51.4%), France – USD 21.4 million (+46.1%).
