Sergey Beshev, President and CEO, commented:

"In May our consolidated operating revenue increased by 6.8% which was supported by 4.3% growth of average check in comparable stores. This dynamic of average check was driven by price increases that we implemented in previous months. The gradual approach to pricing allows us to pass inflationary pressure on to consumers and to increase operating margins. This policy resulted in some short-term decline in traffic, and also May sales were affected by national holidays in Russia and economic crisis in Belarus. The process of finding an optimal balance between average check and number of transactions might take several months, and average check increase will remain a key driver of sales growth. At the same time, we think that traffic rebound will also give positive impact on operating revenue dynamic in 2011."

Unaudited operating revenue includes only total net sales of corporate restaurants and canteens and does not include revenue from franchise operations and other revenue items.

Calculation is based gross sales data (including VAT) for the pool of mature restaurants, which had operated for 18 months as of 1 January 2011.
