OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2011. A delegation of ENSA (Spain) headed by the company’s President and CEO Francisco Ballesteros visited OJSC Engineering Plant ZiO Podolsk (member of AEM Group of Companies). The visit was planned as part of ENSA’s management visit to the international forum ATOMEXPO 2011, which was held in Moscow between June 6 and 8. The Spanish delegation included Jose Zubimendi, Managing Director of ENSA, and Ian Fraser, Vice-President of ENSA for Nuclear Business. 

ENSA manufactures large components for NPPs and industrial equipment, nuclear reactor steam generating equipment. The company  owns a modern plant in Maliano (Cantabria), located on the northern coast of Spain. 

Andrey Davydov, Director General of OJSC Engineering Plant ZiO Podolsk, welcomed his Spanish colleagues. The visit started with a presentation of AEM Group and ZiO Podolsk Engineering Plant which was followed by a visit to the NPP equipment manufacturing facilities. The delegation paid special attention to the production units manufacturing steam generators for NPPs of the Russian design. ENSA also manufactures such products for the leading suppliers of NPPs worldwide. 

The Russian and Spanish colleagues exchanged opinions about their visit. ”We would like to thank the management of ENSA – one of the international leaders of the power engineering industry for visiting the Engineering Plant ZiO Podolsk. ZiO Podolsk has a rich history and vast experience in manufacturing heat-exchange equipment for oil and gas industry companies, nuclear and thermal power stations in Russia and abroad. Our specialists have been participating in the construction and maintenance of NPPs and TPPs in many foreign countries since the Soviet period. We hope that we have successfully demonstrated the potential of ZiO Podolsk to our Spanish colleagues,” said Andrey Davydov.    

”We have obtained a real picture of the capabilities of the Russian power engineering industry. We hope that this visit will serve as a basis for the mutually beneficial Russian-Spanish cooperation in this field,” commented Francisco Ballesteros.
