OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2011. Fujitsu has been positioned in the Leaders category of The Forrester Wave™: Oracle Services Providers, Q2 2011 report. The May 2011 report from Forrester Research, Inc. evaluated 14 leading global services providers in the Oracle applications market to assess strengths, weakness, and differences in strategy. This report will help Oracle application buyers navigate the crowded landscape of service providers that can help with implementation, application support, and hosting. The Leaders category is the top-ranking section of the report.

The report stated that ‘Fujitsu invests substantially in co-development and innovation related to Oracle and is one of the leading partners in the Fusion applications space’. It also states that amongst its services Fujitsu offers ‘leading implementation and support capabilities for solutions including PeopleSoft and E-Business Suite’ as well as being a ‘leading middleware and infrastructure partner for Oracle’.

Andy Seferta, head of European Oracle Practice for Fujitsu UK & Ireland said, “I am delighted with the recognition by Forrester that we are a ‘Leader’, this is part of a consistent global push by Fujitsu within the Oracle space. We are already one of the largest Oracle Systems Integrators in the UK, and our capabilities and expertise have grown and improved over the last two years - this is reflected in our current positioning.”

Forrester also made reference to Fujitsu infrastructure offerings and its cloud delivery options, stating ‘more recently, Fujitsu has extended its infrastructure business to offer various cloud delivery options as well.’

Seferta continues, “We find that it is also significant that Forrester chose to acknowledge the investment in infrastructure and cloud services which Fujitsu has made. Cloud continues to be a key area of development for the company and for our customers. Fujitsu is leading the market with offerings such as IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform, a self-service cloud infrastructure. We believe these are vital areas of innovation and development which differentiate Fujitsu.”

Fujitsu has a long record of success for its Oracle practice – in the last two years it has celebrated some major achievements:
