OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2011. The Bank of Moscow is planning to offer ICE Credit Card to students of regional universities. Decisions on whether to develop the project in any particular region in Russia will be taken depending on the number of institutes and students, availability of the Bank’s branch, and the level of penetration of the ISIC discount programme in the region.

In April 2011, the Bank of Moscow launched the co-branded ICE Credit Card, which has been specifically developed for the younger clients jointly with ISIC, International Student Association that offers its members discounts worldwide. At the moment, more than 700 cards have been issued by the Bank for students of Moscow and Moscow region.

"When introducing the ICE Credit Card we wanted to offer a simple and effective financial solution to the younger audience, – commented Stanislav Stanek, Head of Retail Banking of the Bank of Moscow. – Our new product is focused on the lifestyle and requirements of the younger people".

ICE Credit Card is a card that combines functionality of the international student identity card as well as discount and credit cards. Card holders are offered a credit limit of 10 000 rubles with a possibility of its further extension.

The card also contains a transport application (non-cash payments of Moscow Metro fares), free Web-banking and sms-informing. Monthly account fee will be just 69 rubles.

To obtain a card it is enough to submit a passport and a letter from the institute or a student identity card or post-graduate identity card.
