OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2011. A delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel led by Mr. Pinhas Avivi, First Deputy Director General, Head of the Division for Central Europe and Eurasia is on a visit to the Turkmen capital during these days.

The delegation of the friendly country was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Water Industry, the Ashgabat Khyakimlik and the Institute of International Relations.

A constructive exchange of views on major aspects and prospects for further development of Turkmen-Israeli cooperation took place during the meetings. It was noted that the progressive peace-building foreign policy strategy and the policy of openness and wide international cooperation pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov facilitates to the full extent dynamic and consistent expansion of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Israel.

Focusing on the existing profound potential for effective mutually advantageous cooperation, the members of the delegation of the MFA of Israel underscored the fruitfulness of contacts at the level of foreign ministries of the two countries and called for intensifying fruitful partnerships in a number of priority fields, including the education sector, efficient use of water resources, etc.
