OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2011. With the completion of a comprehensive upgrade and optimization of its e-banking business including mobile banking, online banking and home banking on June 7, Bank of China will provide its customers with more products and functions.

After the upgrade, Bank of China mobile banking's client software will be able to support Android and Apple's iPad in addition to the Symbian (V3 and V5) and iPhone's operating system. New functions are also added, including purchase of wealth management products, personal-to-corporate account transfer and download of the Fei Ju plug-in favored by many young people, facilitating customers' access to financial information, financial calculator, weather forecast, group purchase and other services. With the value-added version of the client software, customers will not only enjoy stock quotes and stock trading services, but also GPS location function to search Bank of China outlets and select the most appropriate route in a self-service manner, as well as other value added services.

Furthermore, after the upgrade, electronic bills and other services under interfacing channels are added to BOCNET. And home banking is expanded from Zhejiang alone to Hunan, Yunnan and Henan and such functions as transfer & remittance, credit cards, investment & wealth management, and over-the-counter contracting are added. 

At present, Bank of China e-banking business has entered the phase of a continuous and fast growth. In the first quarter of this year, the number of new corporate and personal online banking customers increased by about four times and three times respectively compared with that in the same period of 2010, while the number of mobile banking customers increased by more than 3 times compared with that in the end of 2010.
