On Thursday, June 16, the Ukrainian stock market slumped as the UX index lost 1.05% to close at 2,364.88 pps. Total equity turnover remained slim at UAH 123.0mn. All sectors witnessed losses with banks, USCB (-4.86%) and BAVL (-4.03%), suffering the most due to adverse legislative actions that came into light yesterday. Gencos were pulled down by DOEN (-1.67%) and CEEN (-1.45%). Iron & Steel names also traded lower with ENMZ (-1.72%) heading the pack. Among other names MSICH lost 1.31% on the highest turnover of UAH 23.6mn. Nevertheless, some stocks bucked the slumping trend - AVDK (+0.22%), UTLM (+0.10%) and STIR (+0.35%) were all up on the day. On the foreign exchanges most agri stocks eased except for Astarta which posted a slight gain (+0.46%).
