NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it will implement a full-scale reorganization of its corporate structure on August 1, shifting from a divisional to functional structure to consolidate and reinforce its comprehensive ability to deliver globally seamless services to customers. The move is part of the company’s plan to significantly expand its worldwide presence and competitiveness by 2015.

By replacing the company’s current divisions with a structure based on three core functions - sales, services and operations - NTT Com expects to achieve a more coordinated and comprehensive organizational structure for greater efficiency and higher quality. Some of the many anticipated benefits are stronger coordination of extensive services, wider application of best practices in sales, and increased sharing of information and innovation across the organization.

Sales
 First Sales Division will manage direct marketing through contact centers, etc., Second Sales, Third Sales and Fourth Sales divisions will handle sales by business field and service, Fifth Sales Division will manage sales through partners and wholesalers, West Japan Sales Division will conduct sales in the western part of Japan and Global Sales will support overseas sales.

Services
 Voice and Video will be responsible for communication services including telephone and video/web conferencing, Network Services will manage OCN, Arcstar™ Universal One and other network services, Cloud Services will handle data center and Biz Hosting cloud services, Applications & Content will cover BizCITY applications and content services and Solution Services will manage multiple-service solutions.

Operations
 Customer Services will handle service contracts, delivery, monitoring and maintenance, Service Infrastructure will design and construct infrastructure and Systems will maintain company-wide IT systems.
