OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2011. A delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) has visited TITAN-2 Holding. Heads of Energy Departments and Ministries and also higher educational establishments of Vietnam were included into the group.

 The visit was held within the framework of the technical tour to Leningrad nuclear plant and the construction site of LNPP-2, organized by St. Petersburg Central Institute for Continuing Education and Training (CICE&T) with the assistance of IAEA and Rosatom State Corporation (earlier within the framework of the same project a TOTAN-2 Holding had been visited by the delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh). The purpose of the visit was to make the Vietnamese colleagues acquainted with the processes of new power units construction and the operation of operating NPP.

 In the course of the technological tour the excursionists attended LNPP education and training centre and LNPP-2 construction site. After that they went to TITAN-2 Holding, which acts as one of the general contractors on LNPP-2 and Baltic NPP.

 Vadim Ryabov, General Director of TITAN-2 CONCERN CJSC, the leading business unit of the Holding Company, and the Holding Technical Director Andrey Garusov delivered their speeches to the guests.

 The foreign specialists were interested in a wide range of questions: peculiarities of organization of the construction and mounting work at Russian and foreign sites, interrelation between the contractor and the supervisory and regulatory bodies, new technologies applied at modern NPPs’ construction and mounting and many others.

 According to Tran Chi Tkhan, a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Energy Institution, the 40-year experience of TITAN-2 Holding specialists in the field of nuclear-power facilities construction could be used for the future Vietnamese NPP, as well as within the framework of the experience exchange programs with the participation of engineering and technical employees of both the countries included.
