OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. This summer, Latvian national airline airBaltic celebrates nine years since the opening of Berlin, Vienna, and Moscow routes.

Flights to the three capitals started in summer 2002. Since then, airBaltic has served almost 1.5 million passengers on these routes, with 777 thousand passengers travelling to and from Berlin, 464 thousand passengers on the Riga-Moscow route, and more than 258 thousand passengers on the Riga-Vienna route.

In 2002, the total number of passengers on these three routes amounted to just 11 081. In 2010, the same routes served almost 300 thousand passengers, some twenty seven times more than nine years ago.

This summer, airBaltic offers daily flights to Vienna, up to four daily flights to Berlin, and up to three daily flights to Moscow, serving both Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports of the Russian capital.
