OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2011. Airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) got the permission for accepting and handling the new Russian passenger aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100.

According to the resolution of West Siberian regional territory department of air transport, the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) got the permission for accepting and handling the aircraft RRJ-95 and its modifications since June 20, 2011.

In the nearest future the airlines “Armavia” and “Aeroflot” will operate scheduled passenger flights to different destinations with the aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100/95 from the airport Tolmachevo.

To receive the certificate, the ground handling staff of the airport was trained taking into consideration the ground handling peculiarities of the aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100/95. All necessary documentation was prepared to confirm the equipment’s availability at the airport.

Besides the airport Tolmachevo, the airports of Ekaterinburg (Koltsovo), Nizniy Novgorod, Saint- Petersburg and Moscow have got the permission for accepting and handling the aircraft RRJ-95.

Thus, JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” is keeping on expanding the list of handled aircraft types. In May 2011 the permission for handling the world biggest aircraft Airbus-380 has been received by the airport. The actions for receiving the permission to handle wide-fuselage aircraft Boeing 747-8 and short-haul passenger aircraft AN-148 are being carried on.
