OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2011. Freight One significantly improved its financial results in 2010 over 2009. Under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company posted RUR 103.5 billion in revenue, an increase of 44.5% compared with 2009. Net profit stood at RUR 19.9 billion, an increase of 350% over 2009.

According to Freight One CEO Igor Asaturova, the company achieved this significant increase in financial performance against a backdrop of overall economic recovery due to an increase of more than 30% in loading, an increase in the size of the fleet and improved operational efficiency. Freight One managed to expand its customer base last year as well as reduce losses due to empty runs by increasing the number of routed shipments, optimizing transportation routes and raising the level of return hauling.
