President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the top managers of the well-known Japanese companies Hayashi Toshikazu, Senior Vice President and President, Plant and Infrastructure, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Takeshi Yoshimura, Senior Vice President, Machinery Division Senior General Manager, Infrastructure Project and Industrial Machinery Unit.

Greeting the Turkmen leader, the Japanese businessmen reaffirmed that their companies endeavoured to cooperate with Turkmenistan on a long-term basis noting that the Japanese business circles were keenly interested in the promising Turkmen market, where the conditions conducive to fruitful collaboration had been created.

Emphasizing that Turkmenistan in its turn stood ready for mutually advantegeosu partnerships with largest Japanese companies, which had the profound expertise in various spheres and ranked among the world’s leaders in innovative technologies, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation, which had been offered new incentives and filled with a concrete content in recent years.

An exchange of views on the prospects of collaboration in the framework of the bilateral agreements and ongoing large-scale programmes aimed at fundamental modernisation and dynamic economic growth, in particular in the industrial sector took place during the meeting. In this context the Turkmen leader and his guests discussed the issues related to the implementation of the large-scale joint construction project of the plants producing ammonia and carbamide in Mary. The top managers of the Japanese companies reported on the progress in implementing this important infrastructure project.

The leader of the Turkmen state and the Japanese businessmen exchanged views on the opportunities for cooperation in the other fields provided in the framework of the ongoing complex development plans implemented in our country in particular the petrochemical, power and building materials industries and the innovative sector. The guests stated that Kawasaki and Sojitz willing to strengthen and expand cooperation with Turkmenistan and collaborate in new joint projects stood ready to offer their expertise and advanced technologies to Turkmen partners.

Focusing on Turkmenistan’s commitment promoting mutually advantageous international cooperation, the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the tremendous potential of Turkmen-Japanese partnerships and mutual willingness to effectively implement it facilitated enhancing and diversifying business contacts. In this regard the optimal opportunities for concerting efforts effectively and fruitful work in a wide spectrum of fields were opened up, said the Turkmen leader.

Upon concluding the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the top managers of the Japanese companies expressed belief that bilateral cooperation aimed at concrete practical results and meeting mutual interests would be developed further.
