OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Tata Power’s Orissa Project employees not only organised but also enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camp at its office in Bhubaneshwar.

Around 23 officers working in Tata Power's Bhubaneshwar office donated blood in the camp organised by Rotary Club, Bhubaneshwar, and Tata Power Orissa Projects.

“Blood is the essence of life and donating blood helps save life. As part of Tata Power’s community development philosophy we not only encourage such volunteering programmes but actively promote it among our employees to give back to the society and serve the community at large,” said Purushottam Thakur, general manager, Tata Power.

In Tata Power employee volunteering is encouraged among employees and is intended to promote and improve quality of human life. There are more than 800 employee volunteers across the country who work on various community development initiatives and social development projects of Tata Power.
