OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Belarusian’ OJSC Brestskoe Pivo plans to produce 600,000 decaliters of beer under a license agreement with Ukrainian Obolon in 2011, a representative at the company told reporters.

In 2011, the lineup of Ukrainian beer brands will be extended.

“At present we make Obolon light Desant in 1.5-liter and 2.5-liter plastic bottles and Obolon light Ognetushitel in 2-liter bottles,” he said.

The agreement between OJSC Brestskoe Pivo and Ukrainian Obolon on licensed production of Obolon beer was signed in February 2010. The Belarusian company started brewing Ukrainian brands in April 2010.

Brestskoe Pivo brewery’s output increased 35.1% year-on-year in January-May 2011 to 1.27 million decaliters, worth 30.712 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), up from 24.659 billion rubles in the first five months of 2010.
