OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2011. Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev participated in an Export Finance Conference in the G20 format, which was held in Paris (France) and was organized by France’s Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry on the initiative and with the assistance of the French Government.

The Conference’s participants discussed issues related to the state’s support for exports, as well as to promoting cooperation between credit insurers and also dealt with growth dynamics of bilateral and multilateral projects being implemented, the need to monitor trade financing in the post-crisis in so far as it relates to infrastructure projects in low income countries. In the course of the Conference its participants exchanged opinions on the access to streamlining regulations based on new Basel 3 standards and etc.

Basel 3 are new capital and liquidity rules. The rules were developed by the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision. The Central Bank of Russia is a member of this Committee. The rules were approved by the leaders of G20 countries at the G20 Seoul Summit in November of 2010. The rules are planned to be introduced starting from January 1, 2013.
