OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2011. Ryanair, the UK’s favourite airline, today (29th June) called on the UK Govt to use the Army/Police to ensure passport checks at UK airports are kept open, to prevent selfish PCS Union headbangers from disrupting the travel plans of thousands of passengers with unnecessary and unjustified strikes, scheduled for 6pm today until midnight Thursday.
Ryanair said that as all passengers already undergo passport/ID checks before they board UK bound aircraft the Govt could easily remove/reduce unnecessary passport checks to ensure passengers are not delayed or inconvenienced by these headbanger trade unions.

Ryanair called on the Govt to:
1.      Allow the army/police to take over passport checks or
2.      Reduce/remove passport checks altogether at airports since all passports were checked before arrival.
3.      Remove the right to strike for passport control staff.
4.      Sack passport control staff who participate in these unjustified, politically motivated strikes.
Ryanair advised passengers that it will operate all flights to and from the UK, but passengers should expect delays at airport passport controls unless the Cameron Govt acts to prevent the public being hijacked or blackmailed by the PCS trade union.
