OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2011. By the results of the annual International journalistic contest "PEGAS" "Best publication on the challenges of the Fuel and Energy Complex (FEC) of Russia in 2010" the journalists of TATNEFT received high prizes, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The first prizes of the contest were awarded to the staff of the press service of OAO TATNEFT in the nomination "Prize to the press service of the FEC organization", to the editorial staff of "Neftyanye Vesti (Oil News)" newspaper in the nomination "Prize to the editorial staff of newspapers and magazines", as well as to the staff of "Time of TATNEFT" TV studio for the materials of the modern hero of labor. The highest award, the Grand Prix of the contest - a bronze statuette of a winged horse "PEGAS Zlatokryly" was presented to the editorial staff of the corporate magazine "Neft i Zhizn (Oil and Life)".

This year the international contest has been held for the 17th consecutive time with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, "Rosatom", the State Corporation for Atomic Energy, OAO "Gazprom", OAO "TATNEFT" and other oil and gas and energy companies and organizations. The jury of the contest included Anatoly Yanovsky, Deputy Energy Minister, Valery Yazev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kantorovich, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Nekipelov Alexander, Vice President of RAS, Gennady Schmal, President of the Union of Oil Producers of Russia, masters of the national journalism Yasen Zasursky, Edward Sagalaev, as well as other leaders of the Russian fuel and energy sector and representatives of science.

In conclusion of the ceremony, the first time in the history of "PEGAS" contest, the diplomas of the All-Russia Public Energy Journalism Academy were awarded to the representatives of TATNEFT.

The aim of the "PEGAS" contest is attracting the attention of the general public, political, governmental and business organizations to the problems of the fuel and energy complex of Russia through the mass media, as well as increasing the competence of journalists in covering the activities of the fuel and energy complex and consolidation of the FEC journalists.

The contest holding has become a bright and interesting tradition promoting attraction of the public and authorities' awareness to the problems of one of the key sectors of the Russian economy, and also this contest is one of the ways to identify the most talented, professional and competent representatives of the media.
