OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2011. It was said by the head of the Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture Vasilii Bumacov, commenting upon the agreements, reached at the first joint meeting of boards of the two countries’ agrarian ministries held in Moscow on July 1, according to the Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture.

The parities signed the Memorandum on cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and approved the projected food balances of demand and supply for meat and meat products, vegetables and sugar for this year. Vasilii Bumacov said the agreement that experts of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance will soon visit Moldova to monitor enterprises engaged in growing fruit, vegetables and pork production was reached with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

It is planned that following the control of the production’s quality control system, the Russian party will make a decision regarding extension of the list of Moldovan companies authorized to supply fruit and vegetables to Russia, and will approve the list of enterprises having right to export pork to Russia. Vasilii Bumacov said Moldova plans to increase fruit and vegetables supplies to Russia by about one third.
