OREANDA-NEWS. July 5, 2011. With a view to aligning its corporate identity with the Bank of Cyprus Group’s, in the first quarter of 2011 the lender decided to give its cards a makeover

The new design concept has primarily been shaped by Uniastrum’s brand and style guidelines, which were revamped in order to underscore the lender’s membership of the Bank of Cyprus Group. Distribution of the new-style cards will begin in the third quarter of 2011, and customers will receive new cards the moment their old ones expire.

As of April 1, 2011 Uniastrum gave out around 730,000 cards. Of that number more than 90,000 came with an overdraft facility, while over 356,000 were issued as part of payroll programs. In this year’s first quarter the Bank’s card portfolio expanded 12% to Rb 3.75 bn.

Uniastrum cards offer practicality and convenience, predominantly thanks to the Bank’s state-of-the-art processing center, and an extensive network of in-house ATMs and payment kiosks, which as of April 1, 2011 counted 767 terminals. Results released by RosBusinessConsulting agency for 2010 show Uniastrum among the country’s Top-20 biggest banks by number of in-house ATMs and in the Top-10 based on the amount of in-house ATMs in Moscow. The number of ATMs operated by the United Settlement System, which Uniastrum hooked up with in 2008, currently stands at over 11,000.

“Our bank card business strategy is underpinned by a policy of devising targeted initiatives for different client groups,” explains Vasily Kusnetsov, Deputy Chairman of Uniastrum’s Management Board. “This summer we aim to offer our customers a new range of interesting credit card schemes.”
