OREANDA-NEWS. July 8 2011. Airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) is allowed to accept new types of aircraft: AN-148, Fokker-100 and Pilatus-12.

Airport Tolmachevo allowed to accept aircraft An-148, Fokker-100 and Pilatus-12 and their modifications by order of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Federal Air Transport Agency) from July 5, 2011.

Aircraft Pilatus-12 will be operated by the airline "Avia Management Group" on the direction Kyzyl - Novosibirsk - Kyzyl. Airline Air Astana will operate Fokker-100 on the direction  Semei (Kazakhstan) - Novosibirsk - Semei (Kazakhstan).

There are two (3,600 m (11,811 ft) and 3,605 m) active runways in Tolmachevo Airport, along with 2 passenger terminals, 1 cargo terminal and 61 aircraft stands. The domestic terminal was completely renovated in 2006. Tolmachevo Airport is also the first Russian airport to receive ISO 9002-96 certificate.

Tolmachevo is the largest airport in Siberia and the sixth largest airport in Russia after Domodedovo (Moscow), Sheremetyevo (Moscow), Vnukovo (Moscow), Pulkovo (St.Petersburg) and Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg) (Source: www.anna.aero - airline network news and analysis). In 2010, the airport served 2,261,630 passengers (+25.3%). In the first 6 month of 2011 the rapid growth continued and the airport served 1,150,281 passengers (+22.7%).
