OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2011. CJSC Troika Dialog AM announces the launch of new open-ended equity fund “Troika Dialog – Global Internet” 1. Fund formation begins on July 8, 2011. The fund will invest in the shares of companies whose businesses directly relate to the internet sector.

The investment strategy of the fund “Troika Dialog – Global Internet” is designed to achieve mid-term capital appreciation. Assets are invested in Russian and foreign companies including both local players and world-scale businesses with a presence in all the world’s regions. Portfolio investments include companies operating over the internet, such as internet portals, as well as providers of technologies for internet infrastructure, including developers of smartphones and smartphone software. Investment instruments include shares in individual issuers as well as shares in ETFs tracking equity indexes of internet-sector firms.

Open-ended equity fund “Troika Dialog – Global Internet” is a retail fund. Orders to purchase, exchange and redeem investment shares may be submitted every workday. The minimum sum for first-time share purchases totals R30,000.

According to Yuri Karavan, Portfolio Manager at Troika Dialog Asset Management, “The global internet sector is currently experiencing a second phase of impetuous growth. The trends and technologies appearing in recent years – mobile internet, smartphones and social networks – led to “explosive” growth rates in the sector. At the same time, unlike the “internet bubble” at the beginning of the 2000s, the sector has reached a more advanced and mature stage of development.
