OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. OJSC Belaruskali plans to increase potash fertilizer production to at least 7 million tonnes in 2011 from 6.8 million tonnes in 2010, a representative at the company told reporters.

He noted that those were preliminary plans.

The real volume of export will depend on the price situation on foreign markets and contracts of Belarusian Potash Company [the excusive exporter of Belaruskali products].”

The global market has revived after the crisis, which is a good incentive to increase exports.

In January-May 2011, Belaruskali export prices rose more than USD 100 per tonne, to USD 384.4 per tonne from USD 298 per tonne – the average price registered in 2010.

In January-May 2011, Belaruskali exported 3.885 million tonnes of potash fertilizers.
