OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. Belarus will make an IPO of a minority stake in Belaruskali, the stake is estimated at 10%-15%, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said in the parliament on Thursday.

“I instructed Belneftekhim and Belaruskali director to prepare the company for an IPO of a minority stake. We will not offer the entire company, but 10% to 15%. It will be an open sale. We are looking to a partner to help with the offering. We have no experience, as you know,” Semashko said.

Belarus earlier said it would sell shareholdings in Belaruskali based on a USD 30 billion value of the entire company.

According to media reports, Uralkali reached an agreement to buy 50% plus one share in Belaruskali for USD 15 billion, however, the information was later denied.
