OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2011. The Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LCI) has announced the oil refinery ORLEN Lietuva along with other several major Lithuanian enterprises as the Lithuanian Exporter of the Year 2010, reported the press-centre of ORLEN Lietuva.

The nomination claimed by Lithuanian companies, producing and exporting products of Lithuanian origin or providing services for export. Applicants were assessed according to the number of employees, all products and services in volume and rise in exports. Indicators compared to the previous financial year. There were also evaluated additional criteria - productivity, investment, international management and quality standards applied.

In 2010, ORLEN Lietuva upgraded some of its existing units. The upgrading has enabled ensuring safe and continuous production process as well as conformity of the refined petroleum products with the new requirements set by the European Union. The Company’s activities comply with the strict standards of the Integrated Management System which (standards) are followed by most EU enterprises oriented towards long-term business plans and quality.
