OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2011. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has hired two senior bankers to cover Russia, the CIS and Central and Eastern Europe – deepening the Firm’s commitment to its core markets and expanding its ability to intermediate capital between global emerging economies.

Anton Chernyhas joined Renaissance Capital as Managing Director, Head of Business Development, based in London. Cherny worked for Renaissance Capital from 2005-2008, during which time he played an important role in the build-out of the Firm’s Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and investment banking platforms, as Head of ECM and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Most recently, he was Chief Investment Officer for the Interros Group and headed his own advisory operation. Cherny has previously served on the boards of a number of public companies, including Norilsk Nickel, OGK-3 and Open Investments.

Dimitri Barinsteinwill join Renaissance Capital in Moscow on 1 September, focusing on senior client coverage across a number of sectors in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Previously, he served as executive director of Goldman Sachs' investment management division/private wealth management, with a focus on Russia and the CIS. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank for 10 years in both ECM and global banking coverage for Russia and the CIS.
