OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2011. For the second consecutive year Oranta acted as the partner of the Consortium to enhance the management education in Ukraine (CEUME), known for its initiatives aimed at improving the quality of professional education. In the framework of this partnership Oranta supported the Third All-Ukrainian competition of students' marketing plans. The initiative was supported also within the framework of Oranta’s corporate social responsibility program.

The competition is an initiative aimed at developing the Ukrainian universities and to support students who are studying for a degree in marketing and communications. As in the past year, the representative of the Oranta, Ms. Alexandra Afanasieva, Head of the company’s Corporate Communications, became a member of the Contest’s jury. Also, Oranta has provided valuable prizes to the authors of the best marketing plans - flash drives for the three finalist teams.

The Competition has provided university students who study / studied the discipline of "marketing" with a unique opportunity to collaborate with the actual business firms, especially small and medium enterprises, and nonprofit organizations, in particular through the creation of marketing plans to promote their products or services. This year's competition attracted 364 students and 75 teachers from 59 universities in Ukraine, and resulted in creation of 92 marketing plan for domestic enterprises. This enabled the Contest’s participants to receive valuable practical skills in the marketing planning.

"Speaking about the quality of entries, each year they are becoming more complex and sophisticated. Students integrate new marketing tools in their plans, use non-standard solutions. Assessment of the student papers allows even experienced experts to feel the new vision that young people often have and sometimes to see very creative solutions. I would also like to note that this year the quality of presentations of the finalists’ works has increased dramatically. Contestants not only successfully used the traditional forms of presentations such as sampling, but also pleased the Jury with the new approaches, for example, presentation made in the form of an interview with the imaginary CEO of a company. From my heart I’d like to wish the contestants to be inspired with event more creative ideas and to posses a tireless desire to develop as professionals”, - shared her impressions of the competition Alexandra Afanasieva.

It is worth recalling that in February of this year in the framework of the competition the first forum of practical marketing knowledge had been organized. The forum’s concept was named B2S (business to students). The supporters of the event were the leading Ukrainian and international companies; Oranta also became a member of the expert panel of the Forum.
