OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2011. Turkish Airlines, partner of Moscow Domodedovo Airport and member of International airline alliance Star Alliance, increased the number of regular flights to Ankara from 3 to 5 flights per week.

Ankara is one of the major financial, economic, and historical centers in the Middle East, which is of a great interest for businessmen and travellers.

The increase in flights frequency is aimed to satisfy the growing demand for transportation between Russian and Turkish capitals, as well as to improve the efficiency of use of air hub's transfer facilities.

The flights will be operated by comfortable aircraft Boeing 737-800 on the following flight schedule:

The cooperation of Turkish Airlines and Domodedovo Airport started in 2009 when the carrier launched regular flights to Istanbul. In the end of October, 2010, the airline launched a unique route flight in Moscow Air Hub: AnkaraMoscow. To date Turkish Airlines has transported over 17 thousand passengers to this destination.

Domodedovo Airport route network consists of more than 240 destinations, 90 of which are unique ones, and is the largest in Moscow Air Hub.
